WTHeck is a Progressive Dinner

I was talking to Shauna with the Fruita Chamber of Commerce yesterday about a fun event they have coming up on the March 27 in celebration of the 100 year for the Fruita Fall Festival called a Progressive Dinner!

Have you ever heard of such a thing?!

Well I hadn't and now that I know what it is, I can't wait to go to one or host my own!

Apparently it's a version of a potluck, but instead of everyone bringing a dish to your house, you take yourself to their house!

Here's an example:

1. Cocktails at the first location
2. Appetizers at the next
3. Your dinner salad at the third
4. Entree at your next stop
5. & Dessert at your final destination

Someone told me the reason they started this was so one person wouldn't have to take care of the entire meal and it would save some money.

They must not have had to deal with today's gas prices!

My one concern is that people would be drinking and driving, so my co-workers suggestion is to get a limo!!
