One of our listeners needs your help tracking down the family that went home with "Kiser" known as the "Lodge Dog" fopr Mesa Lakes Lodge and Resort!

Liz Brito Owner Operator of A-n-G's Fly-fishing & Guide Service posted this on our Facebook Page over the weekend:

PLEASE HELP!!! MISSING!!! This is our niece's dog "KISER" who just moved here from Washington. He's the "Lodge Dog" at Mesa Lakes Lodge and Resort and witnesses think a family may have took him home with them yesterday (Saturday 5/18/13)! PLEASE HELP!! - NO QUESTIONS ASKED - $500 REWARD. He's wearing a nametag with their phone#. He LOVED his new home up in the woods & lodge and we're all heartbroken that he's gone!!! PLEASE SHARE THIS POST ON YOUR PAGE. If you can offer ANY help with his return, please call the lodge at 970-268-5467. Thank you for reading, and for SHARING THIS ON YOUR PAGE! PLEASE HELP!

I hope this was an honest mistake! I remember staying at a Lodge for a week and finding a cat stuck in a tree outside our cabin but we made sure we asked ALL the employees and guests BEFORE we brought him home! Hopefully they find him!

It was reported that a middle age Hispanic man approx 28-32 yrs with two little girls about 4 and 6, was luring him into the vehicle using a stick that they were playing fetch with. They were driving a red 2 door Chevy SUV, possibly a Yukon or Bronco and were seen headed down towards Mesa/Grand Junction.

UPDATE: We have been informed that he has been returned!!

Kiser was returned to us because of all the pressure around town in the social media. Great feeling to know we have support as a community and the radio stations like you to help us out when we're in need. If anyone has lost someone or something, posting it in every category possible, on public Facebook pages, and radio stations is the way to go. We are celebrating this weekend with a BBQ at the lodge for lunch sat-mon. We hope everyone who helped out in bringing Kiser home will be there so we can thank them in Person. Thanks again Mackenzie Dodge and KEKB staff! Return home pics are posted on Mesa lakes lodge facebook page. Happy day!-Mesa Lakes Lodge
