It's back to school time, and that means stocking up on school supplies. Some retail chains like Walmart actually compile lists of supplies required by area schools, and post them on the school supply aisle. Can you recall an item your school required you to have, but never actually required you to use?

Right off the bat, the protractor comes to mind. When did you ever use this thing? For that matter, what exactly was it supposed to be used for?

Aside from gouging yourself, did you ever find a practical use for the compass?

Did you have the way cool Crayola 64 pack box with the built in sharpener, or did you have to face the public equipped with the sucky K-Mart crayon pack which did not feature the sharpener? Schools supplies range from the essential, to the worthless, to the luxury items, kind of the Crayola 64 pack with the sharpener, the Cadillac of crayons.

Ultimately, which particular item was the most worthless school supply you never used? Don't see your selection? Write it in, and it will be added to the list.
