What Use Could You Find for This in Grand Junction? [PHOTO]
This carriage was spotted at Friday's auction in Loma, and I simply must have it. I don't have the slightest clue what I would do with it, but nevertheless, I must have it. In what way could this antique be put to practical use in Grand Junction?
This carriage is awesome. No, it's beyond awesome... it's amazing. As incredible as it is, this auction item does cost money, and it is a little difficult to justify the expense. Considering I don't have a dime to my name, it's really hard to justify spending the money. Is there some way this antique could pay for itself?
Excluding the idea of reselling it for a profit, is there some way this carriage could justify making the purchase? The possibilities are many. Here's a few:
- 1
Lawn Decoration
Let's start with the obvious. Everybody in Grand Junction has a wagon for a yard decoration. While that is a valid option, this carriage is a masterpiece, and it would be heartbreaking to see it rusting away in someone's yard.

Carriage Service
Downtown carriage rides are very cool. Someone could really rake in some dough offering carriage rides in downtown Grand Junction. Rides around the wineries are pretty awesome, too. As nostalgic as this carriage would be, you can't help but think it deserves better than to waste away. If the carriage could speak, it would probably say "use me, use me!"

Photography Prop
A local photography studio could really benefit from having a prop such as this. Image getting your wedding photo taken as you sit in this masterpiece. Think how cool your senior photo would look. Granted, I'm too old-fashioned for my own good, but I think this would be perfect for a school photo.

Assisted Care Centers
No doubt seniors would enjoy this piece of nostalgia. It could serve as a reminder of simpler times while simultaneously offering aesthetic beauty to what can often be a sterile environment.

Restoration Project for Vocational School
This would be an excellent restoration project for students in VoTech programs. Granted, auto body work on cars is educational, but could you imagine the fun and experience that would come from restoring this thing?

Buy it for Waylon
Okay, I can't ask this, even though I just did. Heaven only knows what I would do with it. In any case, I want it just the same.
