I'll give you a hint: It's not Peeps. For some reason, it seems there's been an outbreak of pure contempt for poor little Peeps. What, then, is Colorado's #1 Easter candy?

I'll give you another hint: It's not Sour Patch bunnies. It seems Arizona is the only state in the nation that likes those things. Personally, I've never heard of them.

How about the folks in Kansas? They can be a little strange. It seems their treat of choice is Snickers Egg. I've never heard of that one, either. It seems there's a ton of candy options I'm not aware of.

Where did this data come from? A map courtesy of Influenster is now available, displaying the most popular Easter candies on a state-by-state basis. Is their data based on overall sales? Not at all. According to Mashable -

This doesn't necessarily equate to the most popular candy in each state, just the one with the most reviews — meaning the states that went Peeps could have done so because people really, really hate them. (If they have souls, that is. Peeps are bad.)

With that having been said, what, then, is the most "popular" Easter candy for the state of Colorado? The answer comes as no surprise. In Colorado, the most "popular" Easter treat is ... wait for it ... the Cadbury Creme Egg. Tah-Dah!

I was hoping to hear Enstrom Toffee or something a little more localized. Oh, well. At least we're not Utah, where the most popular candy is Almond Joy Eggs. Barf.

So, are there any states where Peeps are the favorite? As a matter of fact, yes. Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Nebraska, and New Jersey all selected their Peeps as their favorite. It seems no one on the West Coast or even the majority of the Southern Unites states (except Florida) care for the things. Thanks a lot, California. The blood of the Peep is on your hands.
