Coming to the Two Rivers Convention Center on November 2, it's the Western Colorado Songwriters Festival.

The first Songwriters Festival features three Nashville songwriters Dylan Altman, Brandon Kinney, and Clint Daniels.

Brandon Kinney brings a number of hits to Grand Junction that he has helped write. Songs such as "Drowns the Whiskey" from Jason Aldean, "Love you too Late" from Cole Swindell as well as songs for Willie Nelson, Randy Houser, and others.
Kinney counts such artists as Roger Miller, John Anderson, and Don Williams as artists who have influenced him, and it shows in the songs he writes.

Kinney says he's not the type of person to take himself, or the world too seriously and it shows in some of the songs he has written. Songwriting and music became his focus after getting a head injury from his bike and not being allowed to play football. So he picked up a guitar, learned how to play it and has helped write some great hit songs.
