Western Colorado – Let’s Take the ‘Dolly Parton Challenge’

Have you seen it? The Dolly Parton Challenge is taking the nation by storm. Movie stars, kids, even law enforcement agencies are jumping on board. You should take the challenge, too.

As you are no doubt aware, Dolly is something of a renaissance woman. In addition to her indisputable musical prowess, she's also an accomplished actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. I can't help but think it was easy for her to put together the quartet of photos encompassing the various social media outlets. Take a look below, and you'll see what I mean.

There is one I didn't see coming - the Playboy bunny photo. I consider myself a Dolly connoisseur, so it's a bit surprising I forgot about this 1978 photo shoot. Of course, I was only eight in 1978, but that really doesn't change anything. Are you shocked by that photo? Well, that's as far as it went. According to DollyParton.com -

I have been asked, back in the day, but that was so totally not me. I would never do that… But that was a good article they ran in there, and it was just a fun thing to do. That was just another way I was trying to market myself, at that time, to kinda get in the mainstream…”

 

Well, Dolly inspired me to give it a shot. I grabbed my featured photo from the various sites and put them together. Not to play innocent, but I don't have a Tinder account. Even if I did, it's safe to assume I could never come up with anything to compete with Dolly's photo.

This is fun. Grab your profile photos from your various social media accounts, use your favorite photo editing software (I used Canva) and put the quadruplets together.

Let's make an event of this. I would love to see everyone put one of these together. Unfortunately, Dolly's settings on Facebook don't allow people to upload photos to her page. If it did, I would say let's send in our photos and show Dolly what Western Colorado is all about.
