Here's another video showcasing Robert Grant photos of Western Colorado law enforcement officers. Today's theme includes the Grand Junction Police Department, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the Sheriff's Posse, and a park ranger or two.

These photos range from the 1940s to the very early 1980s. All photos were captured in Grand Junction and the surrounding area.

Where do these photos come from? By grandpa, Robert Grant, was the photographer at the Daily Sentinel from the 1940s through the mid-1980s, minus the years he spent in the Army in World War II.

My parents have tens-of-thousands of his photos, actually hundreds-of-thousands if you count negatives, in storage at their house. I have a few thousand photos at my place as well. We get together and sort through them, one by one, selecting photos fitting a particular theme. In this particular case, all of the photos shown above were found by my dad.

Please enjoy this short video featuring the men and women of Western Colorado who've worn the uniform and dedicated their lives to serve and protect the valley.
