Apparently their are too many vultures roosting in the Martinsville area, so to scare them off the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services is hanging the carcasses to get rid of them!

Now I'm no rocket scientist but don't vultures eat dead things? So why would hanging more dead bodies around make them leave?

According to the article I read over 100 vultures are roosting in a Martinsville neighborhood gathering on roofs and trees since January.

Officials said the vultures are roosting in the area after being ejected from their original homes after Hurricane Sandy, and that hanging carcasses in effigy is the most effective way to get rid of them now, but they may come back in future seasons!

The craziest part of it all is that Vulture Carcasses aren't FREE they cost $400 to $500 a piece and residents have reportedly agreed to pay the fee!
