Voyager 1 Leaves Solar System – When Do We Get Voyager 6?
As of today, the human race has for the first time in its history ventured beyond our own solar system. Voyager 1 has left our domain, and has begun its infinite journey into "interstellar space." Voyager 2 is out there putting around somewhere. That having been said, isn't it about time we get to work building Voyagers 3 through 6? Keep in mind, Voyager 6 has a date with destiny.
Pay no attention to the fact Voyager 1 is actually equipped with an 8-track tape player used as a data recording system. The Voyager series is the future.
As you may or may not recall, it is Voyager 6 that will eventually come back and try to destroy us in the late 23rd century. Don't know what I'm talking about. Watch and remember.
So, NASA had best put a wiggle in it and get to work on at least another four Voyager probes. We have a deadline with destiny. The crew of the Enterprise will rendezvous with Voyager 6 in a little less than 300 years.
Bon Voyage, Voyager 1. May your course be true and steady. Voyager 6, you'd best be for behaving yourself. Let's get going, NASA. Chop, Chop!
