Ultimate Father’s Day Gift – Calling From Jail [VIDEO]

Give Dad the one thing you know he wants for Father's Day; a call from the pokey, Club Fed, the clink, the pad, the pen, the 5-0'd, the hoosegow, the Greybar Hotel, the calaboose, the sneezer, the stockade, the cooler, the hole, the clink... in other words, give Dad a call from JAIL! A handful of recording artists including "Was Not Was" and "!!!TENTACLES!!!" have cut songs conveying the message, "Hello Dad, I'm in jail!."

Lovely tune, isn't it. Is it just me, or does it seems these tunes have a certain tone of anarchy and doom?

Listening to the lyrics, one can't help but get the impression this person is calling to inform his dad he has been thrown in jail. There is a certain sameness, a consistent message that strives to make itself clear. I believe it may be, "Hello Dad, I'm in Jail."

This Father's Day, which by the way is this Sunday, June 16th, forgo the traditional gift of underwear or the obligatory steakhouse gift card (my personal favorite,) and give Dad a heartfelt call from jail.
