The National Weather Service has reported that two tornado's touched down briefly here in Colorado this week!

DENVER (AP) — The National Weather Service says radar shows a tornado briefly touched down over the east runways of Denver International Airport, where thousands of people took shelter in bathrooms and stairwells until a tornado warning passed. Weather service meteorologist Kyle Fredin says a 97 mph gust was measured at the airport before communications with instruments there were briefly knocked out yesterday 6/18.
LA JUNTA, Colo. (AP) — Another day of severe weather is expected after a tornado caused minor damage when it touched down briefly in La Junta (lah-HUN'-tah) on Colorado's southeastern plains. The National Weather Service said the tornado knocked down power poles yesterday 6/17 but no injuries were been reported. The area is among those hardest hit by the drought in the West. The conditions in southeast Colorado are rated as exceptional, the most severe in the national rating system.
