Topgolf Struck Down in Timnath Colorado – Where Might They Try, Next?

Known as a "sprawling entertainment venue with a high-tech driving range with swanky lounge with drinks and games," Topgolf had its sights on Timnath, but, no.

It seems to go without saying that folks in Timnath, Colorado, really didn't want Topgolf coming to their town, and that showed in not only how many people voted, but how many people voted "against" the project.

There are probably more than a few reasons that the people of Timnath and surrounding communities have not been in favor of Topgolf coming to I-25 and Harmony. Some reasons include the impact on the wildlife in the area,

Since May of 2022, Topgolf has been on everybody's minds, not only in Timnath but all of Northern Colorado, with the initial proposal from the developers of the Ladera subdivision, of bringing Topgolf to the area. Lots of people were excited about them coming; many others, however, were not.

HOW CLOSE WAS THE VOTE?

Not very. The Coloradoan reports that the special election on the new rule about "No fences over 65 feet high" passed 2, 321 to 1,026, with more than half of all the registered voters in Timnath casting a vote.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

The Ladera project will continue, just without Topgolf, which was going to take up only 5% of the whole area.

With Topgolf being attached to the project, it's hard to say if Topgolf will be looking, right away, for a new location in Northern Colorado.

WHERE WOULD BE A A GOOD PLACE FOR TOPGOLF IN NOCO?

That's a very tough call. This writer could see them in the Centerra area, north of the Promenade Shops; but, what do I know?
