Last year a study was began to determine what people felt was the top toy over the past 100 years, find out what made it to the top ten and see if you know who'll be number one!

Some of my favorite toys growing up included my BMX bike I brought with my own money, the Light Bright I got for Christmas & the Spirograph thingy my great grandma had when I'd visit her in Iowa (they still are to be honest only now I get to enjoy them with my son).

I have to say though (and I hate to admit this being the tomboy that I am) my all time favorite toy was the My Little Pony Collection. I had everything: the castle, the estate, the barn, a pool and over 300 ponies to dwell in my "pony land". Don't tell anybody but I still have all 300+ of them. Not on display or anything, that'd be kinda weird. . .

But enough about my favorites.

Without further ado, as selected by respondents to a survey by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis the top ten toys from the past 100 years are:

10. MONOPOLY

9. Play-Doh

8. Crayons

7. Cabbage Patch Kids

6. Bicycle

5. View-Master

4. Barbie

Bronze: LEGO Toys

Silver: Transformers

So who took home the gold? I bet some of you guess it. . . . It's good ol' G.I. Joe which debuted way back in 1964!

What's was your all time favorite toy? Do you have one now?
