Top 5 Tear Jerking Movies

Today is National Popcorn and Tears Movie Night, which means its time to dust off those old chick flicks and get the popcorn going. Find out what my top 5 Chick Flicks/Tear Jerkers are.

5. Old Yeller

It seems that good tear jerkers have animals involved and this is one of the top animal movies that will be sure to bring tears to your eyes.

4. Ghost

Even though this might be the sexiest role that Patrick Swayze has ever played, this movie is sure to bring tears to even the toughest of men. Watch out for the pottery wheel scene, it'll get you.

3. E.T.-Extra Terrestrial

As mentioned before, a lot of tear jerking movies have to do with animals. They were close with this one whenan alien finds friendship with a lonely kid Elliot. Here are a couple scenes to watch out for--when E.T. and Elliot are in the medical facility and E.T. is lifeless. Also, watch out for their farewell at the end.

2. Titanic

When this movie came out in 97' it made women and men across the nation cry, especially when Leonardo DiCaprio died in the cold water. A lot of great scenes in this movie and Celine Dion's song "My Heart Will Go On" doesn't help the situation.

This might not be your biggest tear jerker, but its definitely mine. This sad movie shows a mentally handicap guy trying to raise his daughter on his own after her mother ran out on them at the hospital when she was born. Then the state tries to take her away from him. If you really want to bring on the tears, this is a must see.
