When it comes to criminals and baseball players, the deal is three strikes and  you're out. I'm not sure the same can be said for tacos.

We've all had our share of issues when it comes to fast food, and I've had some  difficulties with a particular fast food establishment in recent weeks.

Strike One: We went through the drive- thru to get dinner. After we pulled away we discovered they had failed to give us our five tacos. Fortunately, we were still in the parking lot,  so I pulled in to a parking spot, went inside, waited in line for my turn, and then expressed my situation -after which they gave me our tacos which were setting on the counter. I was hoping for an apology, but, left disappointed.

Strike Two: My tacos taste delicious, but there's hardly anything in them. It was definitely much less than what is typical. What the - ?

Strike Three: On my third consecutive visit I get tacos. What else. I'm a taco kind of guy. I get home with my tacos, only to discover they have a very strange taste. It sort of tasted like olives -- like maybe olive juice had inadvertently been dripped on the other ingredients. That, my friend, is not a pleasant taste.

At this point, I felt the need to say something. Three consecutive visits, three consecutive bad experiences. So, I go on line to their website and relay my experiences. A few days later, the manager called me, asked me to explain the situation, and then apologized for the inadequacies. (Turns out they don't even use olives, so who knows what that strange taste was).

For my trouble, the store manager offered me two free tacos the next time I come in. I thanked him for taking the time to call me and for his offer, and assured him we would be back.

So, even after those three straight duffs, I'm going back. I have to get my two free tacos. I'm a bit apprehensive, but extremely hopeful that things will go well. If they don't, I will have to implement the four-strike rule and  will be forced to get my tacos elsewhere. That would be a sad day.

Four strikes and you're out!
