This SNL Actor Making History is Actually From Denver

Bowen Yang, the newest member of SNL, is making history for being the first Chinese-American cast member on the show. As if that weren't awesome enough, he's also from Denver.

After Smoky Hill High School in Aurora congratulated Yang on Twitter, the Denver news outlets went wild, especially considering Yang's high school superlative:

According to The Know, Yang has been a writer on SNL since last year, writing popular sketches like 'Cheques' (which you can watch below) 'GP Yass' and more. He's also only the third openly gay SNL actor to join the cast, so he's making history and making Colorado look good.
