Things Coloradans Have To Explain To Everyone Else

Some things are different here in the Centennial State. Let's start with this list.

If you have friends or family planning to visit you in Colorado for the first time, you better send them this post.

Not being originally from here, I have come to learn a great many of these facts and truths listed. First hand.

• Chili vs Chile - In Wisconsin chili is pretty standard fare for almost every meal, especially during the six months of winter. I figured you guys just spelled it wrong here.
• Smothered? - Wait, that sounds like something out of a CSI episode. Yes, the body was found smothered and dumped in the river.
• Altitude sickness - Got it within the first 2 weeks. Freaked me out.
• The sun is hot! - I think SPF 30 should come standard with your first month's rent.
• Rocky Mountain Oysters......well, enough said.

It's all these above and the rest of the ideas, that are in the article, that make this place it's own. I'm sure every state could make a list like this, but this is Colorado's. Take pride in it.
