We all know that there are deaths each year due to children's car seats and the Target company is doing everything in their power to at least lower that number. The details were just released for their company-wide car seat trade-in event.

According to details on the Target company website, you are encouraged to recycle your old child's car seat between the dates of September 13th through September 26th and get a coupon for 20% off a new seat, stroller, or select baby gear.

Target will be accepting a wide variety of car seats including infant seats, convertible seats, bases, harness or booster seats and they especially want to encourage parents with expired or damaged seats to make sure they take advantage of this offer.

There are 4 very easy steps to this process.

  1. Bring an old car sear or base to a nearby Target and drop it in the designated box inside the store.
  2. Open your Target App to scan the code on the box. Talk to a Team Member in Guest Services if you need help.
  3. Open your wallet in the Target App and view "Extra Offers" to find your coupon plus other money-saving offers.
  4. Click the green checkmark next to the offer and place your order online, or scan your barcode at the register.

There have been over 14.4 million pounds of car seats recycled so far. Fingers crossed with more events like this we have more children fitting safely inside of their car seats when riding in vehicles. This offer is being accepted at the Target location in Grand Junction.
