Take A Hike With A Dog Relieve Stress

I think they are on to something if you check out the Humane society maybe they will let you stroll with a dog and relieve some stress. 

La Plata County Humane Society has you covered they have a program that may just help you and the dog.

A little-known program hosted by the Humane Society called Mutts in the Mountains allows volunteers to take dogs that are up for adoption on a group hike on one of the many mountain trails around Durango.

Chris Nelson, director of Animal Services for the Humane Society, says  the program has been around for about 10 years and is really growing.

To take a dog on the group hike, you have to go through an interview process with the staff. If you are planning on adopting a dog try taking them for a short hike to see if you are compatible.
