Speed Limit Changes Between 22 Road and Horizon Drive

Reduce your speed. If you haven't noticed a portion of I-70 between 22 Rroad and horizon drive has a lower speed limit. It went from 75 mph to 70 mph. The Colorado Stae Patrol are making stops so if you don't want a ticket it is time to slow it down.
The change has not been in effect very long only about two-weeks, so drivers are still getting used to slowing down.

The city will be installing flashing speed signs on Thursday so drivers will be able to see what's coming up and slow down.  You will find about a seven-mile stretch that will slow to 70 mph and basically covers three exits, Horizon Drive, at 24 Road and U.S Highway 6&50.
