No Snow in Grand Junction Colorado Let’s Borrow Some From the Past
There's nothing much to report in the way of snow in Grand Junction, Colorado, so let's travel back in time about 70 years and enjoy some snow from our past.
Here's a small collection of random Robert Grant photos featuring Western Colorado snow.
No Snow Yet - But Grand Junction May Enjoy a White Christmas
We haven't seen much in the way of snow here in the lower elevations. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to put together a little gallery. Looking at the National Weather Service, though, it seems things may change in the near future.
As of today, Monday, December 20, 2021, the National Weather Service reports a 50% chance of rain and snow (that's right, I said rain) on Thursday, December 23, and a chance of rain and snow on Christmas Eve.
Enjoying Winter Vicariously Through These Bob Grant Photos
I'm not sure why I say "enjoying." Looking at some of these photos, there's absolutely nothing to enjoy about the circumstances. Cleaning up after a train derailment is a soul-crushing task. Add snow, ice, and freezing temperatures to the job, and you have a nightmare on your hands.
Look Sharp - You May See Someone You Know
It happens all the time. As a matter of fact, it happened today. Look closely at the shots and check to see if there's someone you recognize. Earlier today my email included a message from a lady who recognized a family member in one of the earlier Robert Grant gallery posts. She asked for a copy of the print. I'm always happy to provide copies (when possible).
With any luck, we'll see winter weather soon in Grand Junction. Until then, we have these Bob Grant photos.
