Snapshot – Yesterday’s Police Activity in Grand Junction
What does a typical day look like for the Grand Junction Police Department? Take a look at a snapshot of police activity for Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
Via their Facebook page, the Grand Junction Police Department periodically post a snapshot of a day's activities thus far. The results might surprise you. Here's a detailed look at yesterday's snapshot. Please note the time of the post as 4:09 p.m.
June 26 ended with 29 active calls. On my way into work this morning (if you want to call this work) I passed by the aftermath of one of the three crashes. The list above shows 11 calls. One can only guess the nature of the remaining 18.
To my mind, this list is encouraging. I would have thought the day's activities would be worse. Trust me, I'm not complaining.
Scrolling back through the GJPD Facebook page, I see the last post of this kind was on June 11. Please note: That post was sent out at 9:06 a.m., and reflected only the calls received up to that point.
Personally, I would enjoy seeing these more frequently. Would you? Keep an eye out for these snapshots on the GJPD Facebook Page.
