With the recent dusting of snow atop the Grand Mesa combined with the cooler temperatures, many are starting to get a touch of ski fever. If this describes you, there's a place in Colorado where you can strap on the boards and enjoy some incredible early season powder.

The recent heavy rains in the lower elevations can't compare to the plethora of snow that coated the mountains surrounding Silverton.
