Shuttlecraft Galileo Restored and on Course for New Harbor
The original shuttlecraft Galileo NCC-1701-7, seen in the classic Star Trek series with episodes like "The Galileo 7" and "The Menagerie" has completed its restoration and is on a course to its new home.
The full size shuttlecraft fell into ruin after laying out in the elements for decades in a storage lot. It was purchased last year by Adam Schneider for close to $70,000.00. Since then, it has undergone a restoration at the hands of Alec Peters and original Galileo builder Gene Winfield.
Currently, the Galileo-7 is on its way to Space Center Houston, the official visitor's center at NASA's Johnson Space Center.
