Shield 616 Donates To Grand Junction Police Department

The fundraisers have paid off and now the Grand Junction police department will receive much need equipment to save lives.

Shield 616 is a non-profit organization their mission is to protect the protectors wilh life-saving gear at no cost to the department. According to their website, the full armor police packages cost  $2,100.00 per officer the full armor Fire packages cost $2,300 per firefighter.     

The non-profit group, Shield 616, donated rifle-rated gear and vests. Shield 616 has been doing various fundraisers and have raised about $12,000 to be able to give the City of Grand Junction Police Department the equipment.
