A truck driver in Florida broke down in tears when he discovered his semi-truck and 44,000 pounds of Miller High Life had been stolen from the truck stop he was at.

According to WXPI News, truck driver Van Thomas had purchased the truck three weeks ago and had started his own company. He was more upset about the loss of his new truck than the trailer full of beer he was hauling.

Thomas said the 44,000 pounds of beer comes out to about 9,700 four packs. Which means he had 38,800 cans of beer on board.

So, how many people would it take to drink all that beer? If everyone had between one and three beers, that would serve 15,000 - 20,000 people. Even if everyone had several, you're still looking at enough beer for about 10,000 people.

The news report also says at least one other truck had been stolen the same day.

There have been trucks full of SlimFast, eggs and Hershey's chocolate stolen over the last several months.

There is some good news for Van Thomas. His truck and most of the beer were recovered in Miami. That tells me the thieves obviously don't have enough friends to share all that beer with.
