Scotty McCreery's truck was broken into and ransacked in Nashville recently -- but the thieves didn't get away with much. When the singer discovered the mess upon his return to Music City, he sent a message to the perpetrators on Twitter.

"Just want to apologize to whoever did this ... You really picked the wrong country singer's truck to break into," McCreery writes. "Got nothing for ya ... That is, unless you’re a big fan of Elvis or the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack."

McCreery accompanied his tweet with a picture of his rifled-through truck cab. There's a mess of CD cases, iPhone cables and water bottles in the seat, but, thankfully, whoever ransacked the vehicle didn't mess with the interior itself.

McCreery is coming off the road from his Seasons Change Tour, which ended in New York on Jan. 26. The year 2018 was jam-packed full of good things for the artist, including the release of his No. 1 album Seasons Change and his wedding to his long-time girlfriend, Gabi Dugal.

The "Five More Minutes" singer says that while he's still riding the high off his latest album, he's ready to get back into writing in this new year: “We still have some songs on this record that I think are potential singles,” McCreery People. "I always like to be in the creative mindset, and writing is probably my favorite thing to do, so I’m really excited about getting back at it in January.”

McCreery still has a smattering of tour dates on his calendar throughout the upcoming months. Visit ScottyMcCreery.com for details.
