Sandwich Chain Raises Prices
No more $5 Footlongs? Well, the Footlongs are staying the same, something else is changing.
From the fortune.com website, the national resturant chain Subway has announced that starting this week, the well known $5 Footlong sandwiches will be going up to $6.
Even though that doesn't sound as catchy as '$5 Footlong' if you think about, it's probably about time. Subway has been offering the $5 sandwich brand since 2007. If you were to take inflation into consideration, your 2007 $5 Footlong today would cost $5.72. That's pretty close. Inflation has risen 14.3%.
