Ryan Hurd Joins Florida Georgia Line’s Tour
Ryan Hurd has a busy summer ahead of him. The rising singer-songwriter has been tapped for Florida Georgia Line's 2017 Smooth Tour, on which he'll serve as an opening act beginning June 15 in New York.
That's the first of 14 stops with the country duo, including cities like St. Louis, Philadelphia and Charlotte, N.C., and Hurd seems pretty thrilled.
"Excited to jump on select dates of #TheSmoothTour this summer with @FLAGALine! Thanks for having me, dudes! Can't wait!" he writes on Twitter.
Hurd has been making waves for years in the country scene, primarily as a songwriter. He has penned hits for other artists, like Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts. In early January, Hurd signed with Sony Music Nashville as an artist, making him the newest addition to RCA Nashville’s roster alongside Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Jake Owen, Old Dominion and Kane Brown. He released his four-song self-titled EP last month which includes previous singles "Love in a Bar" and "We Do Us."
