We've recently had many close calls with large asteroids so it's no surprise to me that if you look up into the cosmos Tuesday and Wednesday night, you just might see a comet!

This is a real treat because it is very rare when they are close enough to be visible to the naked eye.

National Geographic has reported that this comet has brightened a million-fold since it was discovery in June of 2011, and will only be visible for a short time to star gazers in the Northern Hemisphere.

If you want to see it, experts say to look at the upper left of the moon about a half hour after sunset tonight.

Tomorrow night, watch the lower right of the moon.

If you see a hazy smudge of light, possibly with a tail, that's a comet!

Let us know if you hear of any comet gazing parties!
