Look at This Super Rare (And Weird) Animal Born at the Denver Zoo
This baby animal is so weird looking, it's cute. Just look at this super rare baby aye-aye that was recently born at the Denver Zoo.
This baby aye-aye was born August 8th at the Denver Zoo. The baby's name is Tonks and she is a very important addition. There are only 24 aye-ayes in seven zoos in the United States, according to CBS Denver.
No one knows how many aye-ayes live in the wild. The aye-ayes are native only to remote parts of Madagascar.
Aye-ayes are an endangered species and are a type of nocturnal lemur. They live up to 20 years and get up to a whopping five pounds. Look at Tonk's fuzzy little body and long ears, she's adorable. You'll also notice that Tonks the aye-aye has a bushy tail, wild eyes and long, bony hands that kind of remind me of a raccoon's.
