Powderhorn Gets Ready

Although the weather lately may not reflect it, some people's thoughts have already turned to snow. Especially, if you work at Powderhorn Mountain Resort.

Coming into their 50th anniversary ski season, Powderhorn employees are looking forward to a very fun and (hopefully) snow filled winter. In fact, you can already buy season passes here at their website.

As of right now, the tentative scheduled opening weekend is set for December 15. Of course Mother Nature is the one who really dictates when we can ski or not. But, the staff if staying optimistic. They also report they are ready to make snow as soon as the weather allows them.

Powderhorn is coming off their inaugural summer season of downhill mountain bike trail riding. A very successful venture they report. Plans are being made now for another season of bikes next year. They are also planning on constructing several new beginner and mid-grade trails to appeal to all riding skill levels.
