When we want to enjoy the natural beauty our area has to offer, one of our first choices is Redlands Mesa Golf Club and their restaurant and bar, Ocotillo.

Both are open to the public (golf memberships are available but not required) and take advantage of gorgeous desert scenes and the Colorado National Monument's pink and red sandstone face:

As Golf Digest said, "Redlands Mesa is like playing golf along the bottom of the Grand Canyon, with a couple of sojourns to the Garden of the Gods thrown in." The golf course covers about a third of the 500-acre that comprise Redlands Mesa, and the jagged buttes, rolling fairways and elevated tees will take your breath away.

The golf club also offers a practice range, a putting green and both private and semi-private instructions.

Meanwhile, Ocotillo Restaurant & Bar offers upscale casual dining for both golfers and members of the public. Their menus includes classic salads, a reuben and traditional club sandwich, as well as restaurant favorites like the Jameson whiskey burger, which features a half-pound of Colorado grass-fed beef, blue cheese crumbles and crispy fried onions topped with a house-made sweet whiskey glaze.

Ocotillo also offers a happy hour menu and Sunday brunch, all with dine-in and deck seating.

So, if you're looking for a golfing excursion and just a great meal out with family or friends, we can't recommend Redlands Mesa Golf Club highly enough. Check out their website for golfing details and restaurant specials, and don't forget to tell them we sent you!
