Owner of Grand Junction Clothing Store Says Farewell
The owner of an Orchard Mesa clothing store will be enjoying a well-deserved break after serving Western Colorado for 31 years.
I had a chance to chat with Harriet Crawford at Crawford Boot and Western Wear and reflect on three decades of customers, friends, and family.
It's time for Harriet and her husband George to begin their next set of adventures. They've worked tirelessly at the store, and it's time to start another chapter. Crawford Boot and Western Wear at 2702 Highway 50 is winding down.
One question I had to ask Harriet - does she still have customers today who shopped with her when the store opened 31 years ago? Her answer - a resounding "yes." As a matter of fact, she's come to be close friends with many of her customers.
Is she going to be sad when the store closes at the end of August? Absolutely. After working long days, sometimes seven days a week, retirement is going to require a major adjustment. As you are no doubt aware, Harriet has certainly earned it.
What is she going to miss the most? Check out the video above and find out.
I'm going to miss this store. How many places can you go nowadays where you deal directly with the owner? How many places can you call and have the owner answer the phone?
Thank you for everything Harriet and crew at Crawford Boot and Western Wear. We appreciate the great deals, personal service, and hometown atmosphere.
