After a delay, Old Fall River Road is now open to vehicles, the National Park Service announced in a press release.

Typically, Old Fall River Road is open by the 4th of July holiday, but due to late June snow, they had to hold off on letting cars travel on the narrow, winding, one-way dirt road that leads to Trail Ridge Road. As of Friday, July 12, the road is open.

Vehicles over 25 feet and trailers are prohibited on the 100-year-old unpaved road. Fall River Road is open in Rocky Mountain National Park until early October, weather permitting.
