The National Rifle Association is bringing its award-winning safety seminar to Grand Junction.

The seminar, which is mainly consists of crime prevention techniques and personal safety will be offered on Sunday, October 23 at the Sky Adventures Building near the Grand Junction Regional Airport. It will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is FREE and open to the public. Teenage and up. They do, however, ask you to get pre-registered. 'Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminars teach methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations. Experts agree the most important factor in surviving a criminal attack is to have an overall safety strategy before you need it. Seminar topics address personal safety issues as well as home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices they may integrate into their daily lives.'
