The Northern Colorado music community is in shock after hearing that trumpeter Scott Sessions was found dead on February 10, 2020, and foul play is suspected.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) released a statement today (February 12, 2020) in regards to the deceased body that was found in Bellvue on the morning of February 10, 2020.

It was local musician Scott Sessions (Stanley Scott Sessions.)

Friends and family of Scott had been worried about him, as he had not been seen since Saturday, February 8.

LCSO reports that his death was ruled a homicide, but there is no known threat to the public.

Scott, 53, was best known for his great trumpet skills as a member of the Greeley-based band The Movers & Shakers.

Being in radio, I would run into Scott at various gigs the band was doing; he was ALWAYS upbeat and very congenial every time we met.

Many in the community have been posting on social media their own relationships and love for Scott.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call LCSO Investigator Justin Atwood at 970-498-5143.
