The next Hallmark series called 'When Calls The Heart' could be set right here in Colorado this spring. The series is about a young wealthy Eastern woman who moves to a Western Frontier town in 1910, to start a new life as a teacher.

Doesn't sound super exciting except for the fact that it will be shot here in Colorado. The Hallmark channel believes that a small Colorado town would be perfect for this series. They are looking at places like Cripple Creek, Victor, Silverton or any number of Colorado towns.

The cost to do the series here in Colorado is about $8 million. Hallmark would like to shoot about 6 episodes here in Colorado to test out the show before they move forward with any more production.

This could potentially bring some jobs here to the state and boost our economy. If they are looking for extras, you might want to contact them and see if you can make some extra cash. You can find the full story from the Denver Post.
