Fans are used to hearing Nashville star Lennon Stella sing on the show, and now they'll be able to buy her record in real life. The singer has signed a recording contract and is working on her debut album.

She turned to Instagram to share the news with fans on Tuesday (Jan. 16), writing, "Special special day ... Soooo excited that I can finally share that I've signed my first label deal."

Columbia Records is slated to release her project as part of a joint venture between Records and Sony Music. A press release states that Stella is currently working with songwriters and producers on her debut solo album, which will mostly focus on pop.

"I feel so lucky to work hand in hand with this incredible and inspiring group of people," she adds. "There are no words to describe the feeling of finally being able to release my own music, something I have always dreamed of. I am truly thankful for all the love and support. Stay tuned xxxx."

The 18-year-old singer and actor plays the role of Maddie on Nashville, and the part mirrors her real life. Her younger sister Maisy plays her character's sister, Daphne, and just like on the show, the sibling singers began their careers as a harmony-based country music duo called Lennon & Maisy. In recent years their plot lines have diverged as Lennon seeks fame as a solo performer.
