There are certain  holiday traditions that I'm familiar with...Christmas trees, Santa, hanging stockings, fruitcakes (I'll NEVER truly understand why anyone thinks THAT is necessary) wrapping presents and, of course, family.

However, I've recently been told about the lovely pile of goodness known as Nachos Navidad.

Oh, yeah... according to Taco John's, they're back and celebrating their 26th anniversary and personally I can't wait to celebrate the occasion with a big pile of these bad boys in front of me.

Seriously, I'm not going home after work today until I grab an order. As a lover of Mexican food, there's not much more I could ask for with these things smothered with ground beef, nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, refried beans, tomatoes, guacamole, and black olives (actually let's hold the olives please) piled high on festively-colored green, red and yellow chips.

That deliciousness also will do good in the Northern Colorado community. Over the years, Taco John’s franchisees have donated a portion of the proceeds from every Nachos Navidad purchase to a worthy cause in their local community.

Even though it's not a "local" restaurant, there are local people running the stores in the community and these folks truly care about their commuties as well.  Donations over the years have raised millions of dollars for hundreds of organizations where Taco John’s restaurants are located.

Here's another bonus for you as well. If you'd like to give a Taco John's gift cards as stocking stuffer, they will give an additional $5 bonus card for every $25 gift card purchased.

How awesome is that?
