Montrose Colorado Authorities Seek To Identify and Locate Fraud Suspect
Authorities in Montrose are asking for the public's help identifying and locating a man suspected of attempted fraud.
Suspect Tried To Cash Fraudulent Check At Downtown Business
According to the Montrose County Sheriff's Office, the man tried to cash a fraudulent check at Dinero Rapido at 612 East Main Street in Montrose. Police were called to the scene, but the suspect ran away and escaped in a white Jeep Cherokee. A police officer was holding onto the passenger side door handle when the vehicle sped out of the parking lot.
The man had reportedly tried to cash a fraudulent check by using somebody else's identification. The suspect, wearing a black jacket and red cap, grey-colored jeans, and red training shoes, fled the scene and escaped to the Jeep Cherokee which was occupied by two other individuals.
Authorities Seek Help To Identify the Suspect
Authorities are hoping the public can help them identify and, ultimately, locate the suspect in the photos.
