While I played sports from six years old through high school I never once played in a championship game. That takes teamwork and dedication and that is exactly what the boys from Montrose have been able to deliver this year as now they are moving on to the 4A State Championship game in Colorado Springs on Sunday night.

According to Montrose Press, to get to the championship game the Montrose Indians took their 18-0 record to Longmont where they beat the trojans 48-33 sending the boys from Montrose to their second 4A state championship in school history. The last time Montrose made it to the championship was 1951.

What Makes The Montrose Boys Basketball Team So Good?

If you ask the players a lot has to do with chemistry, it's a good group of guys who get along and respect each other. Even when they aren't practicing on the court they are normally all together off the court. They trust each other to do their job so they can focus on the bigger goal which is to win every game, which is exactly what they are doing.
