Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Is Helping Pups in Her Hometown
Miranda Lambert is dedicated to helping homeless pets around the U.S., largely through her organization, MuttNation. Now, through a partnership between MuttNation and another organization called Rescue Rebuild, Lambert is giving back to pups in her own hometown of Lindale, Texas.
Rescue Rebuild works to rebuild, repair and renovate animal shelters, and alongside MuttNation, they are going to establish a new adoption center in Lindale as well as two dog parks. The organizations are teaming up to provide funding to renovate a building donated by the City of Lindale for this purpose, which upon completion will feature updated amenities, a meet-and-greet area for potential adopters, plus the two dog parks. The city is also donating two acres of land for the project and will be responsible for the maintenance of the parks.

“MuttNation has grown from a dream of ours into an organization that assists thousands of rescue facilities and pets,” says Lambert. “This collaboration serves as an exciting way to give back to the town where my passion for rescue pets all began.”
Construction on the project is slated to begin this fall, and MuttNation is matching dollar-for-dollar any donation given to the project.
Lambert established MuttNation in 2009 with her mother, Bev, and it has been helping fund shelters around the U.S. and give shelter pets homes since. She held a “MuttNation March” at CMA Fest in Nashville in June 2017, in which nearly 1000 people participated and several dozen dogs found homes. Her annual “Cause for the Paws” concert has raised thousands of dollars for shelters across the country.
