Mile High Stadium now has a new name, which is Empower Field at Mile High. Empower Field at Mile High will be Mile High's name for the next 21 years.

Mile High Stadium has finally been renamed to Empower Field at Mile High. The stadium was temporarily named the Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

This was after Sports Authority closed their doors and the Broncos bought the namings rights. And even before that, Mile High was Invesco Field at Mile High according to 9News.

Empower Field at Mile High is the stadium's new name for the next 21 years. The retirement plan company, Empower Retirement, and the Broncos finalized an agreement that runs through the 2039 season according to 9News.

The President/CEO of the Broncos, Joe Ellis, stated that the name 'Empower Field' most definitely got their attention. According to 9News, he also stated that Empower Field is a great name that:

...exemplifies something that is emblematic of pro football, so we're very fortunate...Took a while, obviously, to get to this point but we found the right partner and I'm really excited to have Empower Retirement come forward and we're looking forward to having the name Empower Field at Mile High in lights on September 15 when we open up against the Bears.

New signage is already going up at Mile High Stadium and the Broncos will play their home opener on September 15 on the newly named field -- Empower Field at Mile High.
