Mesa County Students Obesity Report Cards

Would you want something like this in our Mesa County schools? Some places already have them. Weight report cards for students.

New York City schools have been sending out student's report cards on their weight for the past 10 years. From this website, these reports, that the parents receive in the mail, contain information on the children like a body mass index number, otherwise known as a BMI number, weight percentile and a classification as to either they are at a healthy weight or not.

Obesity in the United Sates is a problem, especially with our children. But, is this the way to bring these issues to light? From the article, these BMI report cards seemingly do not work. They present the information, but no accountability is being assessed.
