Habitat For Humanity helps another Mesa County family.

The organization that helps to build homes for needy and worthy families has unlocked the front door to another home here in Mesa County.

The Grand Junction area family of five was said to be very excited and grateful to be chosen as a Habitat For Humanity family. But, this is not a freebie. As you may know, Habitat requires all receiving families to put in many, many long hours and work into helping build their soon-to-be home.

I have worked with Habitat For Humanity when I was working in Wisconsin. They have always been one of my favorite charitable groups. All volunteers, all positive, giving people. I haven't met the Mesa County Habitat group yet, but I am looking forward to it.
