From Cheatsheet.com here's your man check for today. The website has come up 4 'man skills' that every male of the species should know.

The website goes on to say that these skills will benefit you in several ways. First, by saving you money. If you can perform these there won't be a need to call a professional

Second, time is so valuable. We all have tons of things going on all the time. Knowing these will cost you minutes, not hours.

Next, these are lessons you can pass down to your kids. Quality bonding time.

Finally, you can be known as the guy who can do anything!  Using these skills can be very impressive to others.

Let's see how many Keyes knows. This ought to be fun.

  • Changing a flat - Check this one off list. Done it. Now, I won't be on a NASCAR pit crew anytime soon, but I have solo changed a tire. Just remember basics, STAR pattern and to make sure to loosen lug nuts before you raise tire up completely.
  • Hammer Time - May be in trouble on this one. The only thing I have ever built was a cutting board in Jr. High Shop class. Website says that men should have basic knowledge of framework. Don't need to build a house with your bare hands, but be able to drive a nail with a hammer.
  • Going Natural - I grew up in Wisconsin where deer hunting is a religion. Wish I had more skills with a bow, but I am a very safe, practiced and educated person with a gun. Cheatsheet says you should be able to provide for yourself and family by what Nature gives you, not by passing through the drive-through on your way home.
  • Maintenance - I know I can check things, not sure if I would know how to replace things. Big difference. Drain pans, dryer exhausts, air filters and other simple up keep can save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Don't feel bad, you can always learn these skills from friends or family, if you haven't mastered them.

But what other 'man skills' should Keyes know. Lets us know. Click here to head to our Comments section.
