The 2018 Grand Junction Downtown Farmer's Market is barely a month away. Just think of it, all that amazing produce, arts and crafts, and delicious goodies. Oh, and of course, don't forget about the awesome live music featuring your favorite local bands. Check out the 2018 lineup.
You'll definitely want to make your way to the various corners on Main Street between 4th and 7th. You'll find live music everywhere. Keep your eye on the corner of 4th and Main, directly in front of Wells Fargo Bank. This is the "Main Stage." Some of your favorite Western Colorado bands will play there Thursday evenings during the market.
Here's the 2018 lineup for performances at 4th and Main:
- June 21 - Desert Moon
- June 28 - King N' Trio
- July 5 - Black Lab and the Banjo
- July 12 - Nueva Generacion Folklorico

- August 16 - Desert Flyer Band

Bands get underway at 5:30 p.m., and typically play until 8:30 p.m.
Word to the wise - it gets hot out there... really hot. Bring a lawn chair. Bring sunscreen and something cool to drink. While you're at it, bring a portable swamp cooler. Even if you don't use it, the band will appreciate it. Point it towards them.
In years past I've actually witnessed a band's equipment fail from overheating. It was 100+ degrees on that concrete surface. Be prepared.
The Grand Junction Downtown Farmer's Market is always awesome. Judging by the band lineup, this may be the best year ever. Be sure to catch as many acts as possible. Why not just catch all of them? See you there.
