KEKB is proud to announce that they have been nominated to receive three awards at the 2013 Colorado Broadcasters Association Award Ceremony in March. Mackenzie Dodge also received a $500 Scholarship to further her education in radio.

KEKB is nominated in two categories at the 2013 CBA Awards, Best Marketing/Promotions Campaign, and Best Website.

KEKB’s Last Run of Your Life 5k has received a nomination for Best Marketing/Promotion Campaign. Mackenzie Dodge and Britton Crone put together a zombie filled 5k where runners protect their brains against flesh eating zombies. The Last Run of Your Life 5k was a fun run, but also had a great benefit attached to it, the Grant a Wish Program. The Grant a Wish Program gives children life skills through various Parks N Recreation activities around Christmas time.

KEKB received another nomination for Best Marketing/Promotions Campaign for their Sportsman’s Warehouse Scavenger Hunt. This was a scavenger hunt where listeners would walk around Sportsman’s warehouse and try to find a list of items. After they found the items and their prices, they would turn them in to the Customer Service Desk for a chance to win a pair of 4 day passed to Country Jam, a camp site at Country Jam and thousands of dollars worth of camping gear.

KEKB is also up for an award for Best Website. The Colorado Broadcasters Association said that KEKB’s website “has a simple and easy ‘listen live’ feature. Lots of content (news, polls, contest and fun), and it sparks  comments from listeners, makes them feel involved.”

Wish us luck and we want to thank you for your support in everything we do. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.
